Visiting Teaching: October 2017: Enfolding with Love Those Who Stray

The reality is that there are no perfect family… Whatever problems your family is facing, whatever you must do to solve them, the beginning and the end of the solution is charity, the pure love of Christ.
— President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I loved this opening paragraph in the message this month. No one is perfect. No family is perfect. We all have our struggles individually which translates to the family. It’s as a family, that we accomplish all things through Christ.

I also thought that this quote was very timely considering all that has been happening in this world. Even though the main point of the message is talking about family or friends who have strayed from the church, it says ‘whatever problems your family is facing’. So whether you do have a wayward family member or friends or you are dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster or man made disaster, ‘the beginning and the end of the solution is charity’!

Love!! Love those around you. Serve. Smile. Comfort. Life up the hands that hang down. Kneel with those who can’t stand. When we take away pride and egos, love is what remains and is all we need to start rebuilding.

Strive this month to be more charitable in your daily lives.
