Multi-Colored Grilled Cheese

Who doesn’t love grilled cheese? But sometimes it gets a little boring. Sometimes you just need to change things up a bit. Sometimes the kids need something fun and exciting. Sometimes you need to add a little color!!

I’m sure you could use cheddar but we used mozzarella so that the color would come through better. The mozzarella wasn’t as cheesy as cheddar but it was still good and fun to see the color.

Ingredients
Bread
Mozzarella Cheese
Food Coloring
Butter

Directions
Butter one side of each bread slice and place butter side down and set aside.
Place 1-2 cups of mozzarella in a bowl and add a few drops of food coloring until desired color.
Repeat for however many colors you want in your sandwiches.
Arrange the colored cheese on the unbuttered side of the bread and place butter side down in a warmed skillet.
Take the other slice and place the unbuttered side down on the cheese.
Place a lid on the pan to help the cheese melt without over cooking the bread.
Flip after a few minutes and replace the lid.
Each side should only take about 3 minutes or so.
Enjoy with some soup!!
