I am always on the look out for new variations of our favorites. Especially when the slow cooker is involved. So when I saw this slow cooker variation of chicken parmesan I was so excited to give it a try.
2 boneless skinless Chicken Breasts
1 can Crush Tomatoes (28 oz)
1/4 cup Water
1 tbsp Dried Basil
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Salt
12 oz Uncooked Pasta
2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
Place chicken, spices, garlic, crushed tomatoes, and water in slow cooker.
Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Shred chicken and return to slow cooker.
When pasta is done rinse and add to slow cooker.
Mix together and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover and let cook till cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
Top with panko bread crumbs and serve.
