I have been wanting to make a giant cookie for a long time. I tried three different recipes before settling and on this one. Once recipe I added oatmeal to because we like oatmeal cookies better and it was soooooo dry. Another time I tried making the same recipe, the power went out so I left the cookies in the oven hoping the warmth would still cook them and I ended up leaving them in too long. So the last time I made them I kept the oatmeal out and didn’t have any power outage issues!! They are soft, moist and they were gone before I knew it! So try it out! You won’t regret it. These are perfect for parties!!
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted and cooled
1 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
2 1/4 cups Flour
1 cup Chocolate Chips, milk or semi-sweet
Preheat the oven to 325*
In a large bowl, beat together melted butter, brown sugar, sugar, baking soda and salt
In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla.
Add egg mixture to sugar mixture and mix well.
Stir in flour until halfway combined.
Add chocolate chips and mix until flour has just become combined.
